Over the past couple of years we have started new ways to engage with the surrounding community.

In 2022, our church purchased a pop-up tent to create a private/semi-private diaper changing station that we set up at events. We have been to the 4th of July fireworks at the airport and also at Bagelfest. We are hoping to find new opportunities to provide this service.

In 2023, our church brought National Night Out to Mattoon. It is an event designed to not only honor first responders (police, fire, and EMTs) but to give the community an opportunity to meet them in a non-crisis situation.
